Pinhoti Trail

The Pinhoti Trail is a 363 mile hiking trail that spans across Alabama and Georgia through Talladega and Chattahoochee National Forests. The trail is mostly wilderness single track trail and uses forest, gravel, and paved roads as well as some sidewalks and rail-trails to connect the path. It travels across mountain ridges, fords many creeks, also passes by several amazing lakes and beautiful waterfalls. Several towns are nearby for resupply and lodging and travels right through Cave Spring and Dalton, Georgia. It is the official beginning of the Appalachian Mountain Range in the south and is an excellent adventure. One that I am glad I hiked.

The Thru-Hiker's Manual for the Pinhoti Trail is an 84 page, extremely detailed, direction guide for the entire length of trail with everything you'll need to know to navigate this adventure. It includes details on all the resources available such as water, camping, and resupply options in both Alabama and Georgia down to 0.01 of a mile.

There are 2  versions of this book. Each one is written for the direction you choose to hike the trail whether north-bound or south-bound.
